6 spine surgeons making headlines

Here are six spine surgeons Becker’s has reported on since April 4:

1. Ryan Godinsky, MD, joined Cincinnati-based Mayfield Brain & Spine to treat patients at Mayfield’s Springboro, Ohio, office, which will open later this spring. 

2. Oliver Tannous, MD, of MedStar Washington Hospital Center, became the first to use a 3D-printed replica of a patient’s spine to assist in surgery.

3. Colorado Spine Partners in Englewood added Chris Johnson, MD.

4. Marc Levine, MD, earned the 2024 DeGroote Award from the Medical Society of New Jersey.

5. C. Rory Goodwin, MD, PhD, was named director of spine services at Duke Center for Brain and Spine Metastasis in Durham, N.C.

6. Ali Baaj, MD, was named systemwide chief of spine surgery at Phoenix-based Banner Health.
