6 Spine Experts From Beth Israel Join Mount Sinai School of Medicine

Six spine physicians from Beth Israel Medical Center in New York will be joining the Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s department of orthopedics.

Surgeons and physiatrists joining Mount Sinai are Michael Neurwirth, MD; Andrew Casden, MD; Paul Kuflik, MD; Eugene Bulkin, MD; Alexander Lee, MD; and Stuart Kahn, MD.

Dr. Neurwirth is the former director of the Spine Institute at Beth Israel Medical Center who specializes in complex spinal deformities, cervical and lumbar spine issues.

Dr. Casden, who specializes in degenerative disease, and Dr. Kuflik, who specializes in minimally invasive spine, are associate directors of the Spine Institute.

Dr. Bulkin, a pain specialist, and Dr. Lee, who specializes in non-operative care, are attending physicians and partners in the Spine Institute Pain Rehabilitation. Dr. Kahn, a physiatrist and medical acupuncturist, is the director of the Spine Institute Pain Rehabilitation.
