5 spine surgeon moves in February

Becker’s reported on five spine surgeons — from health system leaders to startup heads — who added to their titles or who plan to move to a new practice in February.

1. Ian Madom, MD, a spine surgeon at Warwick-based Ortho Rhode Island became CEO at healthcare startup Mocingbird.

2. J. Alex Sielatycki, MD, is slated to join Steamboat Orthopaedic & Spine Institute in Steamboat Springs, Colo., after his former mentor Clint Devin, MD, died Dec. 10 in a plane crash. 

3. Neurosurgeon Steven Vanni, DO, was named chief of medical staff at HCA Florida University Hospital in Davie. 

4. Vijay Yanamadala, MD, was named chief medical officer of Sword Health, a virtual musculoskeletal care platform.

5. Alexander Ghanayem, MD, was named chief medical officer of Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola Medical Group.
