1. Baylor Scott & White Texas Spine & Joint Hospital (Tyler, Texas). This hospital has been ranked nationally in the top 10 percent for patient satisfaction by Press Ganey, a patient experience analytics company. The practice includes nine facilities providing sports medicine services, outpatient surgery and urgent care. 

2. Pars Brain and Spine Institute (Parkersburg, W.V.). The Pars Institute was founded in 2005 to increase access to specialized neurological care in the area. The practice includes six board-certified physicians, eight advanced practitioners and more than 70 highly trained medical professionals. In December 2019, it partnered with WVU Medicine to acquire Globus Medical’s Excelsius robot, making them the first organizations in the state to use the robot.

3. Florence (S.C.) Neurosurgery and Spine Center. Florence Neurosurgery and Spine has a team of 13 caregivers, including two neurosurgeons. One of its physicians, Andrew Rhea, MD, performed the first spine surgery cases using the Power T Handle device in July 2018. 

4. Barrow Brain and Spine (Phoenix). Barrow is a physician-owned practice specializing in neurosurgery, advanced spine care and pain management.The practice includes 32 neurosurgeons and eight physiatrists and performs more than 9,000 surgeries each year. 

5. IGEA Brain and Spine (Union, N.J.). This practice has nine locations throughout New York and New Jersey. One of its physicians, Anil Nair, MD, was first in Northern New Jersey to use the Stryker Surpass Streamline Flow Diverter to treat an aneurysm patient in October 2019. Another, Ciro Randazzo, MD, was named the Physician of the Year by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association in October 2020 for his research on stroke care.
