5 neurosurgeons expand Advocate Lutheran General’s Brain & Spine Institute

Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Medical Group welcomed five neurosurgeons to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Ill. The five neurosurgeons will practice at the hospital’s Brain & Spine Institute, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The neurosurgeons include:

 

• Egon Doppenberg, MD

• Dean Karahalios, MD

• Jonathan Liu, MD

• Patrick Sugrue, MD

• Robert Givens Kellogg, MD

 

The surgeons specialize in minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal fusion, stereotactic neurosurgery and radiosurgery, cervical artificial disc replacement and complex spine reconstruction.

 

As a designated comprehensive stroke center, the Brain & Spine Institute utilizes the CyberKnife Radiosurgery System to treat spine and brain tumors. Additionally, the institute provides care and treatment for pediatric neurological conditions in partnership with the Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge.
