5 Cedars-Sinai spine updates in 2024

From new leadership and honors, here are five updates from Los Angeles-based Cedars Sinai’s spine and orthopedic department so far this year.

1. Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai added two orthopedic providers in California to its network. Congress Orthopaedic Associates and Risser Orthopaedic Group have combined and joined Cedars-Sinai to provide orthopedic care to patients in Pasadena and Arcadia, Calif.

2. Six physicians with Cedars-Sinai’s network were named among Newsweek’s 150 best spine surgeons in America. 

3.Cedars-Sinai Medical Center was on U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hospitals for Orthopedics” and “Best Hospitals for Neurology and Neurosurgery” 2024-25 lists. It was also recognized for orthopedics by Newsweek.

4. Select Medical and Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai launched a specialized spine care program for acute or chronic spine patients.

5. Alexander Tuchman, MD, was named co-director of Cedars-Sinai Spine Center in Los Angeles.
