The Oklahoma Agriculture Hall of Fame has inducted neurosurgeon Barry Pollard, MD, according to a July 27 report by The Oklahoman.
Four things to know:
1. Dr. Pollard has practiced at Neurological Surgery Associates in Enid, Okla., since 1982 and operates a ranch in Waukomis, Okla.
2. He earned the honor after being selected for the governor's Outstanding Achievement Award in Agriculture, which highlights distinguished agricultural professionals in the state.
3. In 2017, Dr. Pollard was inducted into Stillwater-based Oklahoma State University's Hall of Fame for his commitment to medicine and agriculture.
4. He was a founding member of OSU Medical Cowboys, which encourages more physicians to practice in rural areas.
