7 spine surgeon moves in June

From the new leader of a medical society to a neurosurgeon growing an Arkansas program, here are seven spine surgeons joining new practices or adding to their titles in June:

1. Domagoj Coric, MD, will be the 2021-22 president of the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery.

2. Jonathan Slotkin, MD, vice chair of neurosurgery at Geisinger in Danville, Pa., is the newest independent board member of PeerWell.

3. Daraspreet Kainth, MD, is the latest neurosurgeon to join Mercy Clinic Neurosurgery at Mercy Fort Smith (Ark.).

4. Spine surgeon Jonathon Geisinger, MD, joined McFarland Clinic’s Ames, Iowa, location.

5. John Berry-Candelario, MD, was hired at Novant Health Spine Specialists – Ballantyne in Charlotte, N.C.

6. Luke Zebala, MD and Yasser Farid, MD, joined NorthShore Orthopaedic & Spine Institute in Chicago, according to an email to Becker’s Spine Review.
