4 hospitals, health systems expanding spine programs in February

Here are four hospitals and health systems expanding their spine programs in February:

1. Birmingham, Ala.-based Encompass Health and Tulsa, Okla.-based Ascension St. John plan to build a second joint-venture rehabilitation hospital in Owasso, Okla. The hospital will treat spinal cord injuries, strokes, brain injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions. 

2. Aventura (Fla.) Hospital and Medical Center opened a 90,000-square-foot tower that houses its Orthopedic & Spine Institute.

3. Cape Fear Valley Health in Fayetteville, N.C., is building a $30 million center to expand its residency program and house its neuroscience institute.

4. Kennewick, Wash.-based Trios Health opened a new clinic focused on spine and interventional pain care.
