3 spine, orthopedic lawsuits

Becker’s has reported on three spine and orthopedic lawsuits since Oct. 29.

1. Neurosurgeon Daniel Elskens, MD, former employee of Sandusky, Ohio-based Firelands Physician Group, is facing a wrongful death lawsuit.

2. Durham, N.C.-based EmergeOrtho is facing a lawsuit related to a ransomware attack that may have exposed the data of more than 75,000 people.

3. Powell (Wyo.) Valley Healthcare and the estate of Clinton Devin, MD, are being sued by a former patient over a 2020 surgery.
