Health systems continue to invest in spine surgery and spine care with newly-opened facilities.
Here are three moves to know from April.
1. UNC Health Pardee is opening new locations for Pardee Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Pardee NeuroSpine Associates and a walk-in clinic in Fletcher, N.C. Pardee NeuroSpine Associates neurosurgeons Matthew Brown, MD, and Kelsey Walsh, MD, will see patients at the new location.
2. Fayetteville, N.C.-based Cape Fear Valley Health has opened an orthopedic spine surgery clinic. The center provides coordinated care for patients with spinal conditions and injuries. The clinic offers an all-in-one model intended to streamline care delivery, with services focused on personalized treatment for spine procedures available within the system rather than outside referrals.
3. Northwell Health opened the Northwell Spine Institute at Lenox Hill in New York City. The $6.3 million facility is 11,500 square feet and brings togetherorthopedics, sports medicine, neurosurgery, and physical medicine and rehabilitation within one location.
At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
