18 spine surgeons, neurosurgeons joining new systems in 2024

Here are 18 spine surgeons and neurosurgeons that have joined new hospitals and health systems that Becker’s has reported on through the first six months of 2024:

1. Geneva (N.Y.) General Hospital added neurosurgeon Lucas Aurich, MD, to its medical staff. 

2. Spine surgeon Ryan Godinsky, MD, joined Cincinnati-based Mayfield Brain & Spine.

3. Spine surgeon Adam Schell, MD, joined Omaha-based Nebraska Spine + Pain Center.

4. The Spine Center at Valley View in Glenwood Springs, Colo., brought on board spine surgeon Felipe Ituarte, MD.

5. Peninsula Orthopaedic Associates in Salisbury, Md., added spine surgeon Shalin Patel, MD.

6. Juan Ronderos, MD, joined South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley, Ala.

7. Pedro Aguilar, MD, and Eric Chamberlin, MD, joined WVU Medicine Uniontown (Pa.) Hospital’s Orthopedics & Spine Center.

8. LMH Health in Lawrence, Kan., added Hemil Maniar, MD.

9. Carolina Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center in Gastonia, N.C., added interventional spine physician Lauren Mogk, DO.

10. EmergeOrtho Triangle Region in Durham, N.C., added Ryan McCarter, MD, an interventional spine specialist.

11. Neurosurgeon Osama Kashlan, MD, joined New York City-based Weill Cornell Medicine’s neurological surgery department.

12. Spine surgeon Gannon Randolph, MD, joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Lowell.

13. Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance in Nashville added spine surgeon Jason Smith, MD.

14. Donald Staggs, MD, joined Cincinnati-based Mayfield Brain & Spine as part of a collaboration between the practice and Mercy Health. 

15. Aspen Mountain Medical Center in Rock Springs, Wyo., added spine surgeon Daniel Possley, DO.

16. Spine surgeon William Kunkle, DO, joined Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Florida Healthcare.

17. Augustus “AJ” Rush III, MD, joined Plano-based Texas Spine Consultants.
