Richard A. Hynes, MD (The B.A.C.K. Center, Melbourne, Fla.). Dr. Hynes is a spine surgeon and president of Melbourne, Fla.-based The B.A.C.K. Center. He is the immediate past president of Holmes Regional Medical Center's medical staff in Melbourne. He is fellow of the American College of Spine Surgeons and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also a member of the Scoliosis Research Society and the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery.


Dr. Hynes is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Board of Spine Surgeons. His clinical interests include cervical herniated discs, degenerative spinal disorders, head and neck disorder, lumbar degenerative disc disease, scoliosis and spinal fusion.


Dr. Hynes earned his medical degree at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, previously known as Rutgers Medical School, in New Brunswick, N.J. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu and completed a spine surgery fellowship at Harvard University in Boston.
