Daniel J. Sucato, MD (Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, Dallas). Dr. Sucato is chief of staff at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. He has been on staff since 1998 and also serves as Director of the Sarah M. and Charles E. Seay/Martha and Pat Beard Center for Excellence in Spine Research.


In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Sucato focuses on research and has published several articles on spinal deformity and hip conditions worldwide. He is a professor in the orthopedic surgery department at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is also a reviewer for the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics and Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research.


Dr. Sucato earned his medical degree from State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency and fellowship there. He was also one of three International Traveling Fellows for the Scoliosis Research Society in 2003.
