Dr. Jeffrey GoldsteinJeffrey Goldstein, MD (NYU Langone Medical Center's Hospital for Joint Diseases). Dr. Goldstein is the director of the spine service at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York as well as a clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at New York University School of Medicine. He is also director of the spine fellowship at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. Dr. Goldstein is an honorary surgeon of the New York Police Department. He serves on the board of directors of the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery. He is also a member of the North American Spine Society, Cervical Spine Research Society, Scoliosis Research Society, International Society for Study of the Lumbar Spine and a founding member of the Lumbar Spine Research Society.


Dr. Goldstein has a professional interest in minimally invasive spine surgery, cervical and lumbar artificial disc replacement, sports related spine injuries, scoliosis and surgical treatment of the cervical, thoracic and lumbosacral spine. He is also involved in the research and development of biomedical materials and devices. He serves on the editorial or advisory boards of Spine, The Spine Journal, The Journal of the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery, Spine Universe and the Bulletin of the Hospital for Joint Diseases. 


Dr. Goldstein earned his medical degree summa cum laude at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Case Western Reserve University Medical Center in Cleveland. He has also completed a fellowship in reconstructive surgery of the spine at Maryland Spine Center in Baltimore.
