Bono 0030Christopher Bono, MD (Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston). Dr. Bono is chief of the BWH Orthopedic Spine Service and an assistant professor in the department of orthopedic surgery. He has a professional interest in cervical spine injuries, fractures, dislocations and spinal tumors. He has served as co-director of the Massachusetts General Hospital-Brigham and Women's Hospital Spine Fellowship.


Dr. Bono has served as a board member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Spinal Injury Association, International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine and International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery. He also chaired the professional economic and regulatory committee for the North American Spine Society, which earned him a spot on the NASS board of directors. He's been deputy editor of The Spine Journal and Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. 


Dr. Bono earned his medical degree from State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn and was an orthopedics surgery resident at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Medical School. His additional training includes a spine surgery fellowship at the University of California San Diego.
