William Prentice has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (ASCA) since October 2010, leading the national organization that represents the interests of more than 6,000 ASCs across the United States. Under his leadership, ASCA has achieved record membership levels, significantly grown its revenue while reducing expenses, and dramatically strengthened its federal advocacy work on Capitol Hill and with CMS and other regulatory agencies. Before joining ASCA, Prentice served as Senior Vice President of Government and Public Affairs at the American Dental Association and held senior lobbying and public affairs roles at both the state and federal level, accumulating more than 25 years of experience in association management, health policy, and legislative strategy. He earned his law degree from Rutgers School of Law and his undergraduate degree from The George Washington University.
