He specializes in treating degenerative disc disease, disc herniations, spinal stenosis and deformities, using minimally invasive techniques and complex spine surgery.
Dr. Gitelman received his medical degree at State University of New York-Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. Afterwards, he completed his residency at SUNY at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook and his fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Gitelman has published articles and chapters in textbooks in addition to presenting orthopedic and spine surgery studies at spine surgery conferences all around the country.
