Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Wellington Hsu of Northwestern Medical Group

Wellington Hsu, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon with Northwestern Medical Group. He works at Chicago-based Northwestern Memorial Hospital and is an assistant professor in the department of orthopedic surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.

Dr. Hsu is internationally known for his expertise in myelopathic condition of the cervical spine, tissue engineering solution in spinal fusion and adjacent segment degeneration of the spine. He specializes in degenerative, deformity, traumatic, neoplastic and infection problems of the spine.

 

After receiving his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tenn., Dr. Hsu completed a residency at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. He then did a fellowship at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.
