Dr. Albert also serves as the chairman of orthopedic surgery and an orthopedic surgery professor at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. He specializes in the cervical spine.
Dr. Albert received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville and underwent spine surgery fellowship training at the Minnesota Spine Center in Minneapolis.
He is president of the Scoliosis Research Society and previously served as the president of Philadelphia-based Rothman Institute. Dr. Albert has contributed to 280 peer-reviewed publications, more than 80 book chapters and nine books. He serves on the editorial boards of several spine and orthopedic journals.
