Dr. Keenan is a clinical associate professor at Portland-based Oregon Health Sciences University and a consultant at Portland Shriners Hospital. Dr. He performs minimally invasive spine procedures, motion preservation surgeries, microdiscectomy procedures and well as cervical and lumbar fusions.
He received his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine and underwent spine fellowship training at UC Davis School of Medicine in Sacramento. While in Portland in 2014, Cirque de Soleil chose Dr. Keenen as its operating spine surgeon for injured performers.
In his spare time, Dr. Keenan plays classical guitar and is a regular sponsor of the Portland Guitar Society.
