Dr. Freeman is a tenured professor in the USF College of Medicine and the medical director of the neurosurgery and brain repair department. He specializes in neural transplantation for neurological disorders and complex spine surgery.
Dr. Freeman received his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. He is a fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He is licensed to practice in New York and Florida, has served on several medical editorial boards and his research has been published in multiple scientific journals.
Dr. Freeman served as a consultant to DePuy Spine, Globus Medical, Medtronic and other major companies. He is involved in clinical trial oversight and has 10 issued and provisional patents.
