Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Theodore Fisher of Illinois Bone & Joint Institute

Theodore Fisher, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon at Illinois Bone & Joint Institute in Chicago.

Dr. Fisher specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery. He is certified to evaluate disability and impairment ratings. Dr. Fisher received his medical degree from University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford. He underwent orthopedic spine fellowship training at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.

Dr. Fisher’s research has been published in a variety of scientific journals. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society and AO Spine North America, among other professional organizations. Dr. Fisher also holds a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from Evanston, Ill.-based Northwestern University.
