Dr. Fix is the first surgeon in Alaska to perform lateral access surgeries. She is board certified in neurosurgery and is the general surgery Chairwoman at Providence Alaska Medical Center.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Fix is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Society of Lateral Access Surgery and Alaska State Medical Association.
After earning her medical degree from Morgantown-basedWest Virginia University School of Medicine, Dr. Fix completed her residency at University of Louisville (Ky.). She underwent fellowship training at Norton Leatherman Spine Institute in Louisville.
