His specialties include treating conditions like degenerative disc disease, scoliosis, trauma, infection and tumors, affecting the cervical, thoracic and lumbosacral spine. He used the Mobi-C technology for a one-level disc replacement for the first time in his practice in April.
Dr. Hermenau received his medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington D.C. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, and a spine surgery fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn.
