Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Shannon Kelly of Children’s National Health System

Shannon Kelly, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon at Washington, D.C.-based Children’s National Health System.

Dr. Kelly specializes in pediatric scoliosis and other spinal deformities. She received her medical degree from UC San Diego School of Medicine and underwent pediatric orthopedic fellowship training at Dallas-based Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

She has authored several research publications and presented her findings at various industry meetings. Dr. Kelly is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, Scoliosis Research Society and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, among other professional organizations.
