In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Bederman previously taught at the University of California at San Francisco, Stanford University and the University of California at Irvine. He is a member of the Scoliosis Research Society, North American Spine Society, International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine and American Orthopaedic Association.
He participated in the Young Investigator AAOS/ORS Comparative Effectiveness Research Symposium in 2011 and underwent the OREF/AAOS Clinical Research Training Fellowship in 2006 through 2008.
Dr. Bederman earned his medical degree at the University of Toronto in Ontario, where he also completed his residency in orthopedic surgery. His additional training includes the AO spine fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia and a spine fellowship at the University of California in San Francisco.
