Spine Surgeon Leader to Know: Dr. Roger Widmann of Hospital for Special Surgery

Roger Widmann, MD, is the chief of pediatric orthopedic surgery service at Hospital for Special Surgery, a position he has held since 2004. He is also the director of pediatric orthopedic trauma at New York Hospital and a member of Hospital for Special Surgery’s scoliosis service staff.

His research includes clinical trials on pediatric fractures of the medial epicondyle and The Center for Hip Preservation Outcomes Registry. He has also published several articles in professional journals throughout his career based on his research.

 

Dr. Widmann earned his medical degree at Yale University in New Haven, Conn., and completed his residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Surgery Program in Boston. His additional training includes a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Children’s Hospital in Boston.
