Dr. Guyer previously served as the president of the North American Spine Society, and chairs the board of the Texas Back Institute Research Foundation. His work has appeared in The Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery and Spine, among other publications.
After obtaining his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Dr. Guyer completed his internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Guyer completed one of his spine fellowships at Caser Western Reserve University in Cleveland and the other in Long Beach, Calif.
