Richard Drake, DO, is an orthopedic spine surgeon at Tulsa (Okla.) Bone & Joint.

Dr. Drake’s specialties include both orthopedics and spine surgery.

His career began after he earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Oklahoma State University in Tulsa. He stayed at the university for an internship and residency before completing two additional residencies at Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. He completed a fellowship at Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa.

Dr. Drake is a member of several professional societies including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

He has presented several research papers on spine injuries, trauma care and wound healing.
