Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Rajesh Arakal of Texas Back Institute

Rajesh Arakal, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon at the Texas Back Institute in Plano, McKinney and Wichita Falls.

Dr. Arakal received his medical degree from the New Jersey Medical School in Newark, N.J., and underwent spine surgery fellowship training at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He specializes in cervical, thoracic and lumbar pathology.

Dr. Arakal is a fellow of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He serves as the spine consultant for the treatment of college and professional athletes at the Michael Johnson Athletic Performance Center in McKinney.
