Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Peter Slabaugh of Webster Orthopedics

Peter B. Slabaugh, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon at Oakland, Calif.-based Webster Orthopedics.

Dr. Slabaugh specializes in spine and orthopedic trauma surgery. He serves as a clinical orthopedic surgery professor at UC San Francisco. Dr. Slabaugh received his medical degree from Portland-based Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine and underwent spine surgery fellowship training at Minneapolis-based University of Minnesota.

He has published articles in the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Journal of Trauma, among other peer-reviewed scientific journals. Dr. Slabaugh is affiliated with Oakland-based Brown & Toland Physicians and Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health.
