Dr. Vessa has advanced training in artificial disc replacement. He assisted James Dwyer, MD, in performing the first artificial disc replacement at the L4–5 level in New Jersey.
Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Vessa is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also an assistant clinical professor at the New Jersey Medical School in Newark.
After earning his medical degree from Rutgers Medical School in Camden, N.J., Dr. Vessa completed his residency at the Newark-based University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey. Dr. Vessa is also fellowship trained from Seton Medical Center and St. Mary’s Spine Center in San Francisco.
