Dr. Paul is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and specializes in reconstructive cervical and lumbar spinal surgery with an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques. His research interests include genetic tissue engineering for degenerative disc disease, and minimally invasive surgery. He has had his research findings published in several medical journals.
He is a member of the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a teaching member with the Society of Lateral Access Surgery. Additionally, Dr. Paul is a charter member of the Lumbar Spine Research Society.
Dr. Paul earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago-Pritzker School of Medicine and was an orthopedic surgery resident at University of Chicago Hospitals. Later, he completed a spine fellowship at University of Wisconsin Hospitals.
