Dr. Cowan specializes in minimally invasive spine and intracranial surgery, thoracoscopic spine surgery and endoscopic disc surgery and several other procedures.
His career began after he earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He stayed at the college for his residency and internship before traveling to Germany for fellowships in Germany at Praxis Klinik and Kliniken des Hochtaunuskrieses.
Dr. Cowan serves as the chief of surgery at the Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville.
