Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Mesfin Lemma of MedStar Orthopaedics

Mesfin Lemma, MD, is a spine surgeon and director of spine surgery at MedStar Orthopaedics in Baltimore.

Previously, Dr. Lemma served as chief of Johns Hopkins orthopedic and spine surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore. His clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery, disc replacement, biological enhancement of spinal fusions and bone growth stimulators.

 

Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Baltimore Magazine named Dr. Lemma a Top Doctor in 2015. Dr. Lemma was also named a Top Doctor by Best Doctors in America in 2016.

 

After earning his medical degree from Cleveland-based Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Dr. Lemma completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Dr. Lemma is also fellowship trained from Johns Hopkins Hospital.
