Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Mark Bernhardt of the Saint Luke’s Health System

Mark Bernhardt, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon in the Saint Luke’s Health System and the interim chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.

Dr. Bernhardt has had a more than 20 year career in medicine. It started at the Dickson-Diveley Midwest Orthopaedic Clinic, and it’s now at Saint Luke’s Hospital, Children’s Mercy Hospital, Truman Medical Center and the Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute.

 

Dr. Bernhardt practices orthopedics and spine surgery.

 

Dr. Bernhardt received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He had a residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, and he completed the Daniel E. Hogan Spine Surgery Fellowship at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.

 

Dr. Bernhardt is board certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
