Spine Surgeon Leader to Know: Dr. Lytton Williams of Los Angeles Spine Surgery Center

Lytton A. Williams, MD, is the director and founder of the Los Angeles Spine Surgery Center at St. Vincent Medical Center. He is also an orthopedic spine surgeon at BASIC Spine in Orange, Calif. He serves as an associate professor of clinical orthopedics at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles.

Dr. Williams is a member of North American Spine Society, Scoliosis Research Society and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is currently co-investigator of the FDA-approved ProDisc artificial disc replacement study at St. Vincent Medical Center.

Dr. Williams is board-certified and specializes in the treatment of spinal deformities, disorders and disease, including complex post-traumatic deformities. He is an expert in treating lumbar and cervical disc herniations, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and spondylolisthesis.

He earned his medical degree at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at New York University Hospital and a fellowship in spinal deformities at Rancho Los Amigos Hospital in Downey, Calif.
