Dr. Cordell is board certified in orthopedic surgery. He specializes in treating back pain, scoliosis, neck pain and spinal disorders and diseases. He also treats arthritis, cervical problems, disc problems, herniated disc pain, kyphosis, spine trauma and work-related injuries.
In 1988, Dr. Cordell served as president of the Kansas Orthopaedic Society and in 1996 he was president of the medical staff at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kan. He served on the board of councilors of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons in 2000.
Dr. Cordell earned his medical degree at the University of Kansas Medical School in Kansas City and completed his residency in pediatric orthopedics at the Alfred I. DuPont Institute in Wilmington, Del. He has also completed a residency in orthopedics at Naval Regional Medical Center in Oakland, Calif.
