Dr. Than is an assistant professor of neurological surgery at the OHSU School of Medicine. He specializes in spinal neurosurgery and was recently featured in KATU News for a procedure he performed on a patient with severe scoliosis.
Dr. Than received his medical degree from Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He underwent minimally invasive and complex spine surgery fellowship training at the University of California in San Francisco. Dr. Than is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, AANS/CNS Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves, International Spine Study Group, North American Spine Society and Oregon Medical Association.
His research has been published in several scientific journals. Dr. Than speaks Spanish, English and Vietnamese.
