Dr. Than specializes in the minimally invasive and complex spine surgery. His areas of interest include neurosurgery and neurological spinal surgery. He takes great pride in practicing “the art of medicine,” and treating the patient, not just the disease.
Dr. Than has several professional associations, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
Dr. Than earned his medical degree from the John Hopkins University School of Medicine. He underwent a residency in neurosurgery at the University of Michigan, at Ann Arbor. His fellowship was in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Than speaks Spanish, Vietnamese and English.
