Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. John Vaughan of The Kentucky Spine Institute

John J. Vaughan, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. The President of the Kentucky Orthopaedic Society, Dr. Vaughan is also an assistant clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

A member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, he is a part of the North American Spine Society and the Scoliosis Research Society among others.

 

He holds scoliosis clinics for the Commission for Children with Special Health Care Needs.

 

Dr. Vaughan earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville (Ky.). He completed an internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the same institution. Dr. Vaughan then completed a spine surgery fellowship at the Minnesota Spine Center in Minneapolis.
