Dr. Youssef is the author of several book chapters published in medical textbooks and is an editor and reviewer for several journals, including Spine. He has participated in multiple IDE/FDA clinical trials and has published his research in over 25 peer-reviewed publications, including revision strategies in lumbar total disc arthroplasty.
Dr. Youssef’s clinical interests include cervical spine diseases, orthopedic trauma, spinal fractures, spinal fusion, spinal stenosis and minimally invasive spine surgery. He also has a professional interest in lumbar artificial disc replacement.
Dr. Youssef earned his medical degree at the University of California Irvine School of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. He has also completed a spine surgery fellowship at the University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.
