Dr. Evens received his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and underwent spine surgery fellowship training at UPMC. He serves as an orthopedic and spine consultant for the Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars.
His research has been published in several peer-reviewed scientific journals. Dr. Evens is a member of the North American Spine Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Cervical Spine Research Society, among other professional organizations.
Dr. Evens spends two weeks each year as a medical missionary, providing free spine care in Guatemala with Faith in Practice. In his spare time, he enjoys boating, water-skiing and athletics.
