Dr. Datta’s expertise centers on spinal disorders, including degenerative conditions of the spine and spinal deformity. He is also trained in artificial disc replacement of the cervical and lumbar spine and minimally invasive techniques. He is also involved in academic and research activities with the Sonoran Spine Research and Education Foundation, an independent nonprofit organization that supports advocacy groups for spinal disorders and spine research activities.
“I am performing more procedures in outpatient surgery centers with refined minimal access techniques,” says Dr. Datta. “This transition has led to a reduction of cost for the patient and payer, which has been well received.”
Dr. Datta earned his medical degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he also completed his orthopedic residency. He completed an orthopedic spine fellowship at the Spine Education and Research Institute in Denver.
