Dr. Kang has a clinical focus on degenerative spinal disorders and scoliosis. His research involves the biochemistry of disc degeneration and the use of gene therapy. During his career, Dr. Kang has authored more than 300 clinical and research publications and received several awards from professional spine societies for his work.
Dr. Kang is considered an international leader in basic science and clinical treatment of intervertebral disc degeneration.
Dr. Kang earned his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City and completed his residency at UPMC. His additional training includes a fellowship at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland.
