Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Jaime Nieto of Weill Cornell Medicine

Jaime Nieto, MD, is chief of the section of neurologic surgery and spine surgery in the department of surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens in Jackson Heights and Flushing, N.Y., and clinical assistant professor of neurological surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City.

He specializes in spinal tumors, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, complex spinal surgery and chiari malformation.

Dr. Nieto provides services at Weill Cornell Medicine Brain and Spine Center in New York City.

He graduated from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.

Following medical school, Dr. Nieto completed a residency at the University of California Los Angeles Medical School and a fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.
