Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Jacob Buchowski of Washington University Orthopedics

Jacob Buchowski, MD, is a professor of orthopedic and neurological surgery and the director of the Center for Spinal Tumors at Washington University of St. Louis.

Dr. Buchowski is a specialist in spinal tumors, metastatic spine disease and complex reconstructive spine surgery of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, spinal deformities and kyphosis and spondylolisthesis. 

 

Dr. Buchowski earned his bachelors and masters degree in Science from Yale University. He earned his medical degree and completed a residency at the John Hopkins University School of Medicine. He served as the administrative chief resident during his residency. He had a fellowship in orthopedic surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine.

 

Dr. Buchowski is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
