“What is exciting in spine surgery today is that, especially with endocopic spine surgery, we can perform more procedures in the outpatient setting,” says Dr. Witt. ” Even spinal fusion patients can have fusion procedures done in the ambulatory setting, with minimal postoperative pain. There are also some spine implant devices that can be deployed endoscopically, which I am very excited about.”
Dr. Witt earned his medical degree at University of Hanover Medical School in Germany. He completed his residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. He has also completed a course in spinal surgery instrumentation offered by the Association for Osteosynthesis and Internal Fixation North America.
