Dr. Garonzik is the director of the spine surgery program at Baltimore-based Sinai Hospital as well as the chief of neurosurgery at Randallstown, Md.-based Northwest Hospital.specializes in spine surgery. He received his medical degree from Atlanta-based Emory University School of Medicine and underwent complex spinal reconstruction and functional neurosurgery fellowship training at Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Hospital.
He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and abstracts. Dr. Garonzik is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons and Movement Disorder Society, among other professional organizations. He recently received a faculty teaching award for neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
